Electronic Fruit

This medium is no more a portal
than rock, or a piece of tattered brick.
When the power is
off,
the TV and the laptop are empty
squares.
No wonder the flourescent light
hurts my mind;
whatever color that is
it is not natural
and i'm not even sure
humane.
Pop culture created commodity
out of milk cartons,
campbell's soup cans,
and famous faces.
Info-tech took it one step further
and now we  can sell our selves
like chewing gum
on facebook.
Human grocery stores.
Dollars and cents,
dollars and sense,
dollars and facts,
Facts = fiction,
power = obsolete.

Chewing
gum is
meaningless
as eating
food which
cannot
be swallowed;
the stomach never
tastes, sees, or feels it.
I cannot read
what contains no message.
I can no longer detect
what has no pulse.

I am not the robot.
I am the human flesh.
Aching in silence
without air or water
to call home,
sick as the planet
and
suffocating in a sea
of bitmaps
broken maps
broken
machines.

The compass is spinning
wildy out of control.
Buy a pack of gun
and chew on that.
